NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
- February 2012: Beginning on Monday February 20, 2012, a new process for management of BuySite purchase orders for the Barnes and Noble Campus Bookstores will go into effect: 1. Barnes and Noble purchase orders will need to be created for the value of the merchandise being purchased - a 10% tolerance will be allowed, 2. The individual picking up the merchandise at the Bookstore will be asked to provide identification and sign for the receipt of the merchandise.
See the bookstore prcessing memo for more details. The GEMS card is the preferred purchasing method for the bookstores. BuySite purchase orders should only be utilized when a GEMS card transaction is not possible. - January 2012: NIH Salary Cap is now based on Executive Level II.
- June 2011: All pre-award functions must be conducted in the new AURA-GRANTS system effective July 1, 2011.
- June 2011: The University has outsourced its check writing and distribution processes. Questions can be directed to Jeff Vorreyer, 773-702-2807.
- April 2011: Additional GEMS rollouts by date are as follows: Geophysical Sciences (April 1); JFI and Mathematics (April 15); EFI (May 1); Chemistry (June 1). After these dates, support will be provided to these departments to process reimbursements through GEMS.
